Progress #19: That's not even my final form

The final level of this game is a challenge to finish. I need to submit a test version to Steam but I keep procrastinating.

I replaced the graph based pathfinding algorithm with a recursive number just to see if I could ... you know, that's how committed I am to lingering on this project.

The Brood Mother of the Naga is the final boss, she's angry about all the genocide and loss of her native lands, so she sacrificed her people to the Ascension. She didn't quite go herself, that's not how that works ... and now she stands this side of the Breach, dragging her children back into this world to wage war at her royal whim.

The final battle is here and the Brood Mother will die and be reborn.

If the player's choices and alliances hold strong, then the Breach can be closed and the threat of the Naga sealed away ... but victory always comes at a price.

Am I ready to finish this story? I've always known how it ended. This game was a small idea spun into a small project, a prequel to a game I designed nearly a decade ago. This game always ended where the other began and I am starting to think too much about that game.

Under the hood of Warmonger:SOTN is a role playing game. Each agent on the screen has been beta-testing a table-top RPG for me.

It looks good :)

To finish this game means opening the next and I can't wait, but one thing at a time. Got to learn how to deploy a game to the public, how to live with being on Steam first. The next challenge isn't about pathfinding algorithms, it's letting other people in.
